| - This article deals with an estimate of costs when two-dimensional warranty is granted. The article includes a procedure of estimation of costs of the warranty based on a research of behavior of the customers. This procedure is applicable for an initial estimate of warranty costs or analysis and decision what an extent of warranty will be provided. Possibilities of practical use of the proposed method are demonstrated on an example of estimate of warranty costs of a lower medium class personal car manufactured in the Czech Republic. Within this project, several hundreds of users of appropriate type of a car were interviewed to identify an average mileage done by a car user during one year of operation. The results of survey were assessed statistically and used for an analysis of an influence of changes of basic parameters of the warranty (guaranteed calendar time of use and guaranteed time of operation) on the level of warranty costs.

- Článek se zabývá odhadem záručních nákladů, když je poskytnuta dvourozměrná záruka za jakost. Článek popisuje postup odhadu záručních nákladů založený na průzkumu chování zákazníků. Postup je použitelný pro počáteční odhady záručních nákladů nebo pro analýzu rozsahu záruky, která bude poskytnuta. Možnosti praktického použití navržené metody jsou demonstrovány na příkladu odhadu záručních nákladů u osobního automobilu nižší střední třídy vyráběného v ČR. Za účelem zjištění průměrného počtu najetých kilometrů za jeden rok používání bylo v rámci řešení problému dotázáno několik stovek uživatelů uvedeného typu vozu. Výsledky průzkumu byly statisticky zpracovány a použity pro analýzu vlivu změn základních parametrů záruky (garantované kalendářní doby používání a garantované doby provozu) na úroveň záručních nákladů.
