Description	Emission limits become more and more crucial and this makes the monitoring of incineration processes an indisputable factor for meeting the related requirements. Monitoring of operation of an up to date municipal solid waste (MSW) incinerator with newly installed catalytic filtration system REMEDIA D/F for PCDD/F (dioxins and furans) destruction was performed. Later on it has been recognized a strong need for monitoring this operation to watch the decreasing catalyst activity (life-time of the filtration material ranges between five and six years). Specific algorithms have been created for data acquisition characterizing comparative relations between the incinerator and the filter operation. Analyzed data from monitoring of operation play an important role in the evaluation of remaining lifetime for filter bags.
