  • Intensive development of new modern technologies in the field of industrial robots and manipulators and introduction of ISO 9000:2000, which require consistent orientation towards the customers´ needs and process approach to all activities including design, have caused the need to look for the methods of preventive quality assurance applicable in this field. A special method, which would support the quality assurance in the development and design of industrial robots and manipulators and at the same timme fulfil all the requirements of today’s standards, is not known. One of the methods of preventive quality assurance - Quality, Safety and Organisational Function Deployment (QSOFD) has been worked out in order to achieve quality assurance in the pre-production stages of the development of production machines.   • Intenzivní vývoj nových moderních technologií v oblasti průmyslových robotů a manipulátorů a zavedení norem řady ČSN EN ISO 9000:2001, které vyžadují stálou orientaci na přání zákazníka a procesní přístup ke všem činnostem včetně vývoje a konstrukce, vyvolal potřebu nalezení vhodné metody preventivního zabezpečování jakosti v této oblasti. Jednou tako¨vou metodou je QSOFD, která se stala základem vyvíjené metody MQD.
