Description
| - The wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Modřice (village near Brno city, Czech Republic) treats wastewater conveyed by a system of sanitary sewers from the city of Brno and increasingly by a system of pumping stations from the wide surroundings of Brno. One of the parts of modern WWTP is biological stage which consists of intermediate pumping station, activation tanks, secondary clarifiers and effluent structure and service water pumping station. Into one of the activation tanks was installed probe for monitoring the field of electrical impedance (EI). It was controlled aeration intensity in 16 layers and assessed the homogeneity of aerated field of sludge in real activation tank. The apparatus with EI probes was developed through international projects E!4981 and E!7614 in EUREKA program. In 2013 was put into operation %22retention basin Jeneweinova%22 on trunk sewer %22B%22 in Brno. It's a double rain separator on a single sewer system in the historic part of city Brno.
