Description
  • The time-dependent behavior of a composite beam is usually assessed via beam theory, refined with a view to accounting for the particularities of such a structural member. The two main ways of achieving this are to take into account the time-dependent constitutive law of the concrete and also the relative movements at the interface of the slab and the girder. The computational method co-developed by the author takes into account both of the above-mentioned phenomena. The article briefly describes the method, especially the model of interlayer slip, and presents a study of a wood-concrete beam solved using Asteres academic software.
