Description
  • Příspěvek se zabývá studiem procesu kombinujícího adsorpci organického barviva na PAC s membránovou mikrofiltrací. (cs)
  • This paper deals with the study of dead-end microfiltration combined with powdered activated carbon sorption used in removing of organic dyes from wastewater. In the system PAC adsorption and membrane separation were carried out simultaneously. Adsorption characteristics of model dye on activated carbon were evaluated from equilibrium and kinetic data sets. It was found, that efficiency of dye removing is rather high and PAC tendency for irreversible membrane fouling is extremely low, so membrane backflushing is effective in restoring the permeate flux. A simple mathematical model based on mass balance equations was used for prediction of microfiltration/adsorption system concentration-time dependency. The first order kinetic model used was not suitable for the description of the process kinetics and did not predict well dynamic behaviour of the experiment. More complex kinetic model for description of dye adsorption is necessary.
