  • In this paper the influences of pH and ionic strength on ceramic membrane microfiltration of TiO2 suspensions were studied. A series of crossflow microfiltration experiments were carried out at various pH values, ionic strengths and with various multivalent inorganic salts. Filtration behaviours were analyzed based on measurements of zeta potential of alumina membrane and TiO2 particle and particle size distribution of the TiO2 suspension. Results showed that inorganic anions affect the microfiltration of TiO2 suspension by changing the surface properties of both the alumina membrane and TiO2 particle. The solution environments affect the dispersion of TiO2 particles and played a major role in the filtration flux. The filtration behaviours were analyzed based on measurements of the permeate flux as a function of pH, various inorganic salts, and salt concentration. Special attention was given to the study of these parameters on the separation efficiency.

  • V této práci byl studován vliv pH a inotové síly na průběh mikrofiltrace disperse oxidu titaničitého. Při různých hodnotách pH a iontové síly různých iontů byla provedena série mikrofiltračních experimetů. Pro charakterizaci systému membrane-částice disperse bylo provedeno měření zeta potenciálu obou použitých materiálů. Výsledky prokázaly, že anorganické soli mají vliv na mikrofiltraci disperze oxidu titaničitého, a to tím, že mění povrchové vlastnosti jak membrány z oxidu hlinitého, tak i částic z oxidu titaničitého. To znamená, že úprava disperse zásadně ovlivňuje hodnotu filtračního fluxu. Průběh mikrofiltračního procesu byl charakterizován hodnotou intenzity toku permeátu. Výsledkem pak hodnota zmíněného fluxu jako funkce pH, druhu soli a koncentrace soli. (cs)
