  • U mikroorganismů kontaminujících kančí sperma byly zjišťovány minimální inhibiční koncentrace 21 různých přírodních látek. Bujónovou diluční metodou byly stanoveny MIC u látek (Carvacrol, Cnicin, Thymol, Rosemary acid, Cvercetin, Arbitin, Catechinhydrate, Berberine Disulphate, Gallic acid, Ethylgallate, Propylgallate, Methylgallate, Hydrochinon, Hydrochinon-Methylether, Caryophilli aetheroleum, Carvi aetheroleum, Foeniculi aetheroleum, Lavandulae aetheroleum, Eucalypti aetheroleum, Rosmarini aetheroleum and Therebinthinae aetheroleum) rozpuštěných v 5% dimethyl sulfoxidu (DMSO). Cnicin, Carvacrol, Thymol, Ethylgallate and Hydrochinon byly účinné na Pseudomonas aeruginosa a jiné Gram negative mikroorganismy. MIC těchto látek se pohybovaly v rozmezí 600-2400 ug/ml v závislosti na bakteriálním druhu. Thymol (MIC 1200-2400 ug/ml) and Carvacrol (MIC 1200 ug/ml) byly nejúčinnější z látek proti Enterococcus faecalis. Tyto látky vykazovaly rovněž vynikající účinek na stafylokoky (300-600 ug/ml).
