  • The influences of zeta-potential and particle size with change of pH and ionic strength on permeate flux during the microfiltration of model dispersion (anatase with mean particle size 350 nm) on tubular ceramic membranes (alfa-Al2O3, mean size of pores 0.1 micrometers) have been studied. The experimental filtration system and the dispersion characterisation experiments are presented. The results of the experiments show that zeta-potential of the particles has considerable impact on the magnitude of the cake resistance and hence on the permeate flux. The effects are especially pronounced during the microfiltration of dispersion in the area close to isoelectric point of dispersion, where the dispersion has tendency to instability and the particles tend to aggregate. The effects resulted in higher porosity filter cakes (deposits) and a lower value of filter cake resistance, and hence to a permeate flux that increased to more than double the value of a non-treated dispersion.   • Byl studován vliv zeta-potenciálu a velikosti částic modelové disperze (anatas o střední velikosti částic 350nm) na intenzitu toku permeátu při mikrofiltraci na trubkových keramických membránách (alfa-Al2O3 se střední velikostí pórů 0,1mikrometrů) při změnách pH a iontové síly. Experimenty zahrnují základní charakteristiky modelových disperzí. a popis experimentálního zařízení. Výsledky experimentů dokazují, že zeta-potenciál částic má významný vliv velikost odporu filtračního koláče a tím i na intenzitu toku permeátu. Tento jev je nejvíce patrný při mikrofiltraci v okolí izoelektrického bodu disperze, kdy se částice disperze shlukují. To vede ke tvorbě filtračního koláče s větší porozitou a menším odporem. Hodnota intenzity toku permeátu vzroste na dvojnásobnou hodnotu intenzity toku permeátu neupravované disperze. Tento pozorovaný jev je způsoben interakcemi mezi částicemi disperze a částicemi s povrchem membrány. (cs)
