| - The study text is a study aid for the course of Health and Physical Activity which is part of the curriculum in the doctoral study programme of Kinanthropology. It has been designed to help students with relevant PhD thesis topics, provide them with a general systematic overview of possible relationships between health and physical activity of the man. It explains basic concepts, such as health, disease, prevention, physiology, pathophysiology, physical activity and sport. It gives examples of the positive and negative impact of the health status on the ability of physical activity and the impact of physical activity on health (e. g. hypokinesia and diseases of affluence, movement as a condition of normal human development, physical therapy, sports injuries, microtraumas, pathological fatigue, damage to the health of athletes through doping, exercise and sport of cardiac patients). The text is complemented by used and recommended literature.
