Description	Inter-ethnic relations toward Roma matters more than any integration policy. Integration policies toward Roma are being in place more because of existence of a pressure from outside the country than due to interest of officials or public. The most important question remains whether Roma in Slovakia have where to integrate without full assimilation. As far as state policies toward Roma communities are concerned, state officials together with academia and NGOs should define goals of integration policies. All strategic materials of Slovak governments failed to address this issue already in the first stage of policy cycle. As far as business policies are concerned, equal opportunity policies need to explicitly highlight the challenge of Roma discrimination. Equal opportunity policies known from countries of the EU-15 cannot be applied without modifications in order to focus multilevel reasons of Roma marginalization.
