Description
  • Bonaventura Tecchi (1896-1968), Italian prose writer and literary critic (professor of German literature at the University of Rome), worked in the years 1933-37 as a lecturer of the Italian language and literature at universities in Brno and Bratislava. His stay in Moravia inspired him to write a collection of autobiographical stories, Idilli moravi (1939), in which author’s memories are mixed with his imagination. Tecchi uses the expression idyll in its original Greek meaning, i.e. scene or sketch. Idilli moravi is a book in which lyrical descriptions of atmosphere and settings entwine to people’s stories. However, as the writer himself points out, not all the situations and characters depicted in the collection are idyllic. (en)
  • Il narratore, saggista e insigne germanista italiano Bonaventura Tecchi, prima che diventasse professore di letteratura tedesca all'Universita' di Roma, negli anni 1933-37 fu lettore di lingua e letteratura italiana nelle universita' di Brno e Bratislava. L’esperienza di questi luoghi si manifesta in Idilli moravi (1939), una raccolta di brevi racconti autobiografici in cui la memoria dell’autore s’intreccia con la sua fantasia. Nell’accezione usata da Tecchi, idillio vuol dire visione breve o quadretto, e tale significato corrisponde all’etimo greco del termine. Idilli moravi, dunque, e' un libro fatto di suggestive rappresentazioni paesaggistiche e di originali ritratti umani, amalgamati armonicamante e avvolti da un’amosfera lirica, e cio' nonostante il fatto che, come osserva lo stesso autore, né le situazioni né le figure siano tutte idilliache.
