Description
  • We study properties of parallel manipulators with planar platform and base. We show that they always satisfy a quadratic equation in Study parameters. This equatuion is identically equal to zero iff the manipulator is architecturally singular. We also describe a large class of manipulators with self-motions, special cases of which were already studied by Borel and Bricard.

  • Zabýváme se platformami s rovinnou bazí i platformou. Ukazuje se, že tyto platformy splňují jistou kvadratickou rovnici ve Study-ho parametrech. Tato rovnice je identicky nulová právě tehdy, když je platforma architekturálně singulární. Je rovněž popsána třída takových manipulátorů, které mají vlastní pohyby a jejichž speciální případy byly studovány již Borelem a Bricardem. (cs)
