Description	Uvedená průřezová studie byla zaměřená na posouzení vztahu mezi užíváním tabákových výrobků a stavem orálního zdraví ve vzorku dospělé populace v Indii. Klinické vyšetření spočívalo v posouzení DMFT indexu (počet zubů s kazem, zubů chybějících a zubů s výplní). Do studie bylo zahrnuto 805 respondentů ve věku 30 až 69 let. Nejvyšší prevalence slizničních lézí byla zjištěna u osob, které žvýkaly tabák a pravidelných kuřáků. Průměrný počet zubů s kazem byl nejvyšší u osob žvýkajících tabákové výrobky a u pravidelných kuřáků. Průměrný počet chybějících zubů byl nejvyšší u pravidelných kuřáků, zatímco průměrný počet zubů s výplní byl nejvyšší ve skupině osob žvýkajících tabák. (cs) This cross-sectional study was aimed at possible relatioships between tobacco habits and oral health status in an adult sample from India. Clinical examination consists of DMFT (Decayed, Missing, and Filled Teeth) index assesment. The study comprised 805 subjects in the age group from 30 to 69 years. The highest prevalence of oral mucosal lesions were found in tobacco chewers followed by regular smokers. The mean number of decayed teeth was highest in tobacco chewers and regular smokers. The mean number of missing teeth was highest in the group of regular smokers whereas mean number of filled teeth was highest in the group of tobacco chewers. This cross-sectional study was aimed at possible relatioships between tobacco habits and oral health status in an adult sample from India.
