Whether the estrogen-signaling pathway and the Wnt-signaling pathway have crosstalk, cooperating in the development of the BROCN-family tumors, awaits further study (en) Zkoumali jsme možnou úlohu estrogenního receptoru (ER)-ß při vzniku nádorů, které vytváří moruly s na biotin bohatými opticky světlými jádry (BROCN) (BROCN-rodina nádorů) a její možný vztah s aberantní expresí ß-kateninu v jádře/cytoplasmě (N/C). Barvili jsme 14 nádorů rodiny BROCN včetně 6 adenokarcinomů typu fetálních plic, 3 papilárních karcinomů štítné žlázy síťovitě-morulární varianty (CMV), 2 ovariálních endometriálních nádorů, 2 adenokarcinomů tlustého střeva, 1 adenomu žlučníku a 4 endometriálních tkání s BROCN během gestace na ERbeta, ERbeta, progesteronový receptor (PgR), ß-katenin a na vybrané skupině vzorků také c-Fos a MIB-1. BROCN ve všech 18 případech exprimovaly ERß, ale ne ERbeta či PgR. Tato studie naznačuje, že N/C kolokalizace ERß a ß-kateninu je společná všem morulám S BROCN, které se objevují v BROCN-rodině nádorů z různých anatomických míst. Zdali při vývoji BROCN-rodiny nádorů dochází ke komunikaci mezi Wnt a estrogenní dráhou čeká na další studie. (cs)
