Description	The aim of our study was to carry out a small surveillance programme in Czech pig production herds in order to characterize twelve detected swine hepatitis E (HEV) isolates by more detailed genetic analysis. HEV nucleotide sequences from swine detected in 2006-2007 in the Czech production herds clustered with subtypes III-f (4 HEV isolates) and III-g (8 HEV isolates), indicating diversity from HEV strains that are considered to be predominant and indigenous to Europe. At present, in no other European countries swine HEV sequences related to subtype III-g have been detected. (en) Cílem studie bylo zjistit výskyt viru hepatitídy E v produkčních chovech prasat a charakterizovat vzájemné vztahy mezi dvanácti zjištěnými HEV izoláty pomocí detailnější genetické analýzy. Bylo zjištěno, že 4 z 12 analyzovaných HEV byly fylogeneticky nejvíce příbuzné s podskupinou III-f a 8 z 12 analyzovaných HEV přináleželo do podskupiny III-g. Výsledky potvrdily větší diverzitu izolátů HEV než tu, která bývá považována v Evropě za běžnou. V žádné zemi Evropy dosud nebyl výskyt subtypu III-g popsán. (cs)
