| - Aplikace nových biotechnologií ve šlechtění skotu může zefektivnit selekci a zvýšit genetický zisk. Produkce embryí in vitro od krav, které musí být vyřazeny ze šlechtění z důvodu poruch jejich reprodukce, patří mezi tyto metody. Účinnost získávání oocytů a produkce přenosuschopných embryí použitelných pro embryotransfer nebo kryokonzervaci byla srovnávána, když oocyty byly získány od krav buď 3.-4. den po říji (definované donorky) nebo v jiné dny po říji (nedefinované donorky). Zmrazené sperma 21 elitních býků bylo použito pro fertilizaci oocytů. Průměrný počet použitelných oocytů získaných na donorku a průměrné procento použitelných oocytů ze získaných oocytů stejně jako průměrný počet přenosuschopných a zmrazitelných embryí na donorku a průměrné procento přenosuschopných a zmrazitelných embryí ze získaných oocytů byl signifikantně vyšší u definovaných donorek ve srovnání s nedefinovanými donorkami. - The application of new biotechnologies in cattle breeding can intensify the selective process and bring about a genetic benefit. The in vitro production of embryos from high performance donors, which cannot be kept in reproductive condition and must be eliminated from breeding, is one of these methods The efficiency of oocyte collection as well as the efficiency of fresh and frozen embryo production were compared between the oocytes recovered either on Days 3-4 (defined donors) or any other Days after donor´s estrus (undefined donors). The frozen-thawed semen of 21 elite bulls were used for oocyte fertilization. The mean number of usable oocytes collected per donor and the mean percent of usable oocytes from collected oocytes as well as the mean numbers of transferable and freezable embryos produced per donor and the mean percent of transferable and freezable embryos from collected oocytes were significantly higher for the defined than the undefined donors.
