Description	Endeavour about preservation of endangered Czech Red cattle appears to be successful. From 1992 to 1999, number of individuals of this genetic resource increased from 35 to 91 animals – it means about 160 %. Among years 1999 and 2008, number of animal in all categories increased from 91 to 157 animals (about 76 %). In category of cows, it was from 62 to 80 animals (about 29 %). Accruments in number of heifers about 325 % in age less than 6 months and about 60 % in age above 6 month strengthen expectation of subsequent process of these creditable activities. In 2008, results of Czech Red cattle breeding were evaluated in herd of milked cows (with commercial milk production) and in system without commercial milk production on School Farm at University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Regarding to low milk yield (cca 4 080 liters, what is about 2 700 liters lower than by Holstein breed), only slightly lower costs and same need of work, Czech Red cattle seems to be less suitable.
