Description	Cryptosporidium parvum je jedním z nejdůležitějších patogenů způsobujících enteritidu a těžké průjmy u telat do 1 měsíce věku. Cílem práce bylo určit vliv kryptosporidiózy na střevní funkce experimentálně infikovaných novorozených holštýnských telat. Většina střevních funkcí byla u infikovaných zvířat signifikantně ovlivněna. Změny byly zaznamenávány až do 14 dnů po infekci. Výsledky všech testů, které byly provedeny 21. den po infekci však ukazovaly na úplné zotavení po infekci. Růst telat, která překonala kryptosporidiózu byl průkazně ovlivněn ještě mezi 14. a 21. dnem po infekci. (cs) Cryptosporidium parvum is one of the most important pathogens causing enteritis and severe diarrhoea in calves up to 1 month of age. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of cryptosporidiosis on the intestinal functions of neonatal experimentally infected Holstein calves. In infected animals, most of intestinal functions were significantly affected and changes were detected up to day 14 post infection. In contrast, results of all tests obtained on day 21 post infection suggest full recovery of the infected intestine. Significantly, growth of the calves that had recovered from cryptosporidiosis was still affected between days 14 and 21 post infection.
