Description
  • Supplementation of a rabbit diet with 0.5 % of caprylic acid and 1 % of Akomed R markedly decreased numbers of coliforms in stomach and caecal contents of rabbits. Mortality was reduced as well, but the effect did not reach statistical significancy, presumably due to low number of animals per group. In summary, the supplementation of rabbit diet with medium-chain fatty acids may improve health of rabbits after weaning.

  • Přídavek kyseliny kaprylové a Akomedu R (0,5 % resp. 1 %) do diety znatelně snižoval počet koliformních bakterií v žaludku a obsahu slepého střeva králíků. Mortalita se rovněž snížila, ale vliv nebyl statisticky průkazný, což bylo pravděpodobně způsobeno malým počtem zvířat v jednotlivých skupinách. Z výsledků je patrné, že přídavek mastných kyselin o střední délce řetězce do diety zlepšuje zdravotní stav králíků po odstavu. (cs)
