Description	Enterococcus faecium EK 13 is a bacteriocin-enterocin A producing strain with probiotic properties. In the study its colonization, stability and effect on microflora in rabbits was studied as well as its influence on zootechnical parameters. Fifty rabbits after weaning were divided into control (C) and experimental (E) groups and were fed a standard diet. E rabbits were for 4 weeks fed daily lyophilized EK 13 strain dissolved in drinking water. Preliminary results demonstrated that EK 13 is a perspective probiotic candidate for rabbits. (en) Enterococcus faecium EK 13 je linie bakterií produkující bakteriocin (enterocin A), který má probiotické vlastnosti. V této práci byly sledovány kolonizace, stabilita a vliv na mikroflóru králíků a vliv na zootechnické parametry. Padesát králíků po odstavu bylo rozděleno na kontrolní (C) a pokusnou (P) skupinu a krmeno standardní krmnou dávkou. Králíci skupiny P byli navíc po 4 týdny denně krmeni lyofilizovanými baktériemi linie EK 13 rozptýlenými v pitné vodě. Předběžné výsledky ukazují, že EK 13 je perspektivním probiotikem pro králíky.
