Description
| - Roots are still underrated plant organs. For the analysis of selected root traits, the pot experiments with seven spring wheat varieties and with gradually-step by step increasing influence of drought were established. Basic parameters of the roots-volume, dry matter and length were compared with an electric capacity of the roots merasured in nF. As follows from the obtained results, there is-to some extent-possibility to use the electrical capacity in the wheat breeding for the selection of the root traits and resistance to drought. (en)
