  • Starch composition of grain and its relations to detected HMW-GSs alleles (1A: 0 and 1; 1B: 6+8, 7+8 and 7+9; 1D: 5+10 and 2+12) were evaluated in a set of 46 winter wheat lines. The content of total starch was measured by NIR (near infra-red) spectroscopy using the Ewers calibration model. The content of amylose was detected enzymatically by Megazyme kits. In spite of detected allelic variability (12 different allelic combinations), differences in starch content tested wheat accessions were low. Most wheat lines showed starch content the range 61-63%. Higher differences were found in the content of amylose. The lowest amylose content was found in the French wheat line Ble du Jura(e) (19.66%) and the highest content was detected in the German wheat line Ackermanns Bayernkoenig(a) (27.61%). Presence of different HMW-GSs alleles did not show significant variability in starch content or its composition.

  • Složení škrobu zrna a jeho vztah k měřeným HMW-GS alelám (1A: 0 a 1; 1B: 6+8, 7+8 a 7+9; 1D: 5+10 a 2+12) bylo hodnoceno v sadě 46 vzorků evropských linií ozimé pšenice. Obsah celkového škrobu byl stanoven pomocí NIR (near infra red) spektroskopie za použití Ewersovy metody pro kalibraci. Obsah amylosy byl stanoven enzymaticky pomocí kitů firmy Megazyme. Oproti zjištěné alelické variabilitě (12 různých alelických kombinací), rozdíly mezi obsahem škrobu u testovaných linií pšenice byly nízké. Většina linií vykazovala obsah škrobu mezi 61-63%. Větší rozdíly byly zjištěny v obsahu amylosy. Nejnižší obsah byl nalezen u francouzské linie Ble du Jura(e)(19.66%) a naopak největší obsah amylosy byl stanoven u německé pšeničné linie Ackermanns Bayernkoenig(a) (27.61%). Přítomnost rozdílných HMW-GS alel nevykazovala významný vliv na variabilitu obsahu škrobu a jeho frakcí. (cs)
