Description
  • Three groups of wheat cultivars Triticum dicoccum , T. monococcum and T. spelta were grown in hydroponics at controlled conditions. At the age of 21 days wheat plants were analysed to determine their rate of nitrate uptake, the net NO3- uptake capacity and total nitrogen content. The rate of nitrate uptake varied from 2.7 (T. dicoccum) to 9.3 (T. monococcum) µmol NO3-/g FW/h; in economically important species T. spelta it ranged between 3.1 – 6.9 µmol NO3-/g FW/h. In T. diccoccum and T. spelta these values represent about 80 – 90% estimated Vmax. Both groups significantly differed from T. monococcum. This collection was characterized by the highest Vmax, its nitrate uptake rate per g fresh weight reached only 45 – 67% Vmax. Within each group there were found the intra-species differences. Nitrate uptake capacity of the individual species or varieties was significantly affected by differences in development of root system. These results were compared with registered cultivar T. aestivum cv. Munk.

  • Odrůdy 3. druhů pšenice (jednozrnka, dvouzrnka, špalda) byly pěstovány v kontrolovaných podmínkách v živném roztoku. Ve stáří 21 dní byla stanovena rychlost příjmu nitrátů (mikromoly nitrátů/g čerstvých kořenů/hod.), kapacita kořenového systému pro příjem nitrátů (mikromoly nitrátů/rostlina/hod) a celkový obsah N. Rychlost příjmu nitrátů se pohybovala od 2,7 (T. dicoccum) do 9,3 (T. monococcum) µmol NO3-/g kořene/hod.; u ekonomicky významného druhu T. spelta se rychlost příjmu pohybovala mezi 3.1 – 6.9 µmol NO3-/g kořene/hod. U druhů T. dicoccum a T. spelta tyto hodnoty představují 80 - 90 % stanovené Vmax. Skupiána odrůd T. monococcum byla charakterizována nejvyšší hodnotou Vmax; průměrná rychlost příjmu nitrátů vztažená na 1 g svěžích kořenů činila pouze 45 - 67 % Vmax. Uvnitř hodnocených souborů byly nalezeny vnitrodruhové rozdíly ve sledovaných ukazatelích.Získané výsledky byly porovnány s hodnotami stanovenými pro jarní odrůdu pšenice seté Munk. (cs)
