Description	Molecular markers have been succesfully to used to characterise genetic resources of many plant species and they were employed in marker assisted selection. New high throughput technologies have been introduced recently to speed up the analysis. Potential of cDNA arrays is evaluated using two different species: barley and hop. In RICP barley is evaluated using DNA and expression cDNA arrays. Several protocols for RNA/mRNA isolation were tested. Plasmid carrying inserts corresponding to cold indiced barley cDNA were isolated and insetrs were amplified. Protocol for amplification of insters from bacteria directly was introduced and adopted. The number of 96 amplification products were spotted on the glass slides and hybridized with Cy3, Cy5 labelled cDNA prepared from cold stressed barley seedling to optimise array technology. RNA quality was verified by RT qPCR. Ubiquitin was used as a control. It is apparent, that more comparators will be required. A set of 96 DNAs was prepared to test DNA/DNA b (en) češ češ (cs)
