  • Bylo zjištěno, že kultivary Siria a Alka vlastní totožné geny rezistence k Puccinia recondita f.sp.tritici. Heterogenita v reakci ke rzi pšeničné byla zjištěna u kultivaru Alka, u většiny rostlin se projevila stejná reakce jako u cv. Siria. Kultivary Siria a Alka, stejně jako další evropské kultivary s předpokládanými geny Lr10 a Lr13, prolázaly podobné reakce k několika australským a evropským patotypům P.recondita f.sp. tritici. Infekční typy byly ve většině případů závažně nižší v pokusech s evropskými izoláty P.recondita f.sp. tritici než u pokusů s australskými izoláty. Ačkoli je to způsobeno alespoň částečně rozdíly v podmínkách prostředí ve kterých byl pokus proveden a rozdílnými interpretacemi infekčních typů, došli jsme k závěru, že to bylo způsobeno především rozdíly v patogenitě použitých vzorků P.recondita f.sp. tritici. Přítomnost Lr10 v cvs. Siria, Consort, Galahad, Hereward, Ortop, Trémie, Titlis, Encore, Rialto, Charger, Rapor, Shango, Danis, Pegaso a Alka bylo potvrzeno již dříve vyv (cs)
  • The wheat cultivars Siria and Alka were found to possess identical genes for resistance to Puccinia recondita f. sp. tritici. Heterogeneity in leaf rust response was detected within the cultivar Alka, with most plants displaying the same disease responseas cv. Siria. Cultivars Siria and Alka, as well as other European cultivars postulated to possess LrlO and Lr13, showed a similar response patterns to several Austra1ian and European pathotypes of P. recondita f. sp. tritici. The infection types were inmost cases considerably lower in studies with European isolates of P. recondita f. sp. tritici than in the studies with Australian isolates. Although this is likely to be at least in part due to differences in the environmental conditions under which tests were conducted and to different interpretations of infection types, it was concluded that it was mainly due to differences in the pathogenicity of the isolates of P. recondita f. sp. tritici used.
