Description	The 1st International Fair of Geodesy, Cartography, Navigation and Geoinformatics GEOS 2006 and accompanying professional conference was held at the exhibition area in Prague-Letňany during 16th to 18th March 2006 under the expert guarantee of the Research Institute of Geodesy, Topography and Cartography (VUGTK), and under the auspices of the President of the Czech Office of Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (ČÚZK) and the Chief of the Geographic Service of Army of the Czech Republic.More than 70 presentations were given at the conference by experts coming from five European countries. The presentations covered broad scope of current problems of the field. “The Present State and Future of the Branch and Profession” was the principal motto of the whole event. The prize “Technical Work of Year 2005” was handed over. ; (en) Ve dnech 16. až 18. března 2006 se uskutečnil v Praze – Letňanech, pod odbornou garancí VÚGTK a pod záštitou předsedy ČÚZK a náčelníka Geografické služby AČR, 1. mezinárodní veletrh geodézie, kartografie, navigace a geoinformatiky GEOS 2006. Při této akci se konala také její doprovodná odborná konference.Zaznělo přes 70 příspěvků odborníků z pěti evropských států. Přednášky pokrývaly široké spektrum aktuální problematiky celého odvětví. Hlavním mottem konference bylo: „Současný stav a budoucnost oboru a profese“. Byly předány ceny soutěže o Technické dílo roku 2005. Ve dnech 16. až 18. března 2006 se uskutečnil v Praze – Letňanech, pod odbornou garancí VÚGTK a pod záštitou předsedy ČÚZK a náčelníka Geografické služby AČR, 1. mezinárodní veletrh geodézie, kartografie, navigace a geoinformatiky GEOS 2006.
