Description	his study shows the influence of genetic polymorphisms in the promoters of MCP-1/CCL2 and RANTES/CCL5 genes to their serum levels and their relationship to other factors associated with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It has been shown that AA genotype of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) -403 G / A RANTES gene is associated with lower serum levels of this chemokine and with higher levels of interleukin (IL) -15. CG genotype of -855 C / G MCP-1 SNP is more common in RA with the presence of rheumatoid factor (RF) IgM.
