Description
| - During the implementation of EU Water Framework Directive in the member countries of European Union is increasingly evident that the water management planning will have to take into account also projected impacts of global warming on water cycle and water resources to follow this directive. Possible climate change adaptation measures can be associated with requirements for high investments in water sector in the Czech Republic and therefore specific attention is paid to reduce the uncertainties caused mainly by climate change scenarios. One of the approaches, which can be used for this purpose, includes analyses of observed data with the aim to assess conformity between recent trends in the series of hydrological and meteorological variables and projections developed by the simulations based on climate change scenarios. The paper summarizes selected results of the application of these approaches.
