Description	Currently, a thermal disposal of waste belongs among partially neglected waste disposal methods that are also not very favoured by the general public. However, it has been clear in the past few years that, following strict conditions and rules, this waste disposal method is often the only method how to efficiently dispose of bulk or hazardous waste and thus combustion of waste in the incineration plants remains an indispensable technology in the area of waste disposal. (en) Termický způsob odstraňování odpadů patří v současné době mezi částečně opomíjené a širokou veřejností nepříliš oblíbené metody nakládání s odpadem. Je však v posledních letech zcela zřejmé, že tento technologický způsob odstraňování odpadů je při dodržování striktních podmínek a zásad mnohdy jediným způsobem, jak účinně postupovat při likvidaci velkoobjemových nebo nebezpečných odpadů a spalování odpadů ve spalovnách je tak neustále nepostradatelnou technologií v oblasti nakládání a odstraňování odpadů.
