  • Horské lesy v ČR jsou významně ovlivňovány antropogenními faktory. Poškození lesních porostů způsobené polutanty bylo viditelné před více než 50 lety. V polovině 90 let přibližně 60% lesních porostů bylo jimi poškozeno. Na konci 90 let emise SO2 byly významně redukovány, až o 90% . Během zimy 1995/96, v nadmořské výšce nad 700 m se na celém území České republiky objevilo červenání posledních ročníků jehličí. Symptomy poškození byly podobné symptomům ze 70 let minulého století. Akutní poškození bylo způsobeno přímým působením vysokých koncentrací SO2 v ovzduší. Vysoká imisní zátěž ve východní části Krušných hor byla prokázána vysokými obsahy síry (2755 mg.kg-1) a fluoru (19 mg.kg-1) v jehličí. Průměrná defoliace korun byla v hodnocených porostech přes 60%. Přibližně 12578 ha smrkových porostů bylo poškozeno. Po zimě 1999 se objevilo výrazné poškození smrkových porostů, které se projevilo žloutnutím starších ročníků jehličí, usycháním a opadem jehlic, ovlivněny byly porosty všech věkových kategorií. (cs)
  • Mountain forests in the Czech Republic are highly influenced by antropogenous factors. Significant forest damage due to air pollution has been visible for more than 50 years. In the middle 90ies, about 60 % of the forest stands in CR were damaged. At the end of 90ies the emission of SO2 was reduced in nearly 90%. During the winter of 1995/96, in altitudes over 700 m within the whole region of the Czech Republic, reddening of the last needle year class of spruce was observed. The symptoms of the damage were the same as in 70ies of the last century. An acute damage was caused by the direct impact of the high SO2 concentration in the air. High air pollution load in eastern part of the Ore Mts. was proved by a high concentration of sulphur (2755 mg.kg-1) and fluorine (19 mg.kg-1) in the needle samples.
