Description	The Black Triangle is one of the most polluted areas in Europe. In the Czech part of the area, most of the mountain forest was heavily damaged due to industrial air pollution during the last three to five decades. For protecting the most important ecological and environmental roles of forest, many thousands of hectares of salvage cuttings and disintegrating stands had to be continually reforested. In the first part of it, the Ore Mts. damaging from fifties, heavy mechanization methods of reforestation were used (clear cutting system with digger and bulldozer site preparation). In the other parts (Jizerské hory Mts. and the Giant Mts.) damaged about twenty years later, close to nature methods of forest regeneration including shelter wood system were used (underplanting, udersowing etc.).
