| Description
| - Elaboration of actualised methodology for cultivation of grain legume-cereal intercropping is necessary for its reintroduction in the growing systems of organic farming and sustainable agriculture. Due to the breeding progress of new peas, fodder pea, barley and wheat cultivars important morphological and qualitative changes were reached (aphila pea type, cropped barley and wheat stem with lodging resistance). Both continuously actual danger associated with BSE and zero GMO tolerance in organic farming escalate plant fodder requirement from own production. Those facts induced a big interest about grain legume-cereal intercropping in EU and forasmuch as information deficiency in this range, research activities were supported. Nobody has dealt with this topic in the Czech Republic since 80. years of last century and there is a threat of stagnation in this range. (en)
