The extraction agents used for determination of potentially mobilizable portion of soil are able to release in addition to water-soluble S-SO4 and sorbed S-SO4 also various organic compounds. However, information concerning short-term potential of sulphur mobilization from individual bounds is insufficient for optimized fertilization scheme. In this context, fractions mobilizable during latter states of vegetation period should be taken into account. The quantitative determination of plant-available sulphur fractions (water soluble S-SO4, sorbed S-SO4 and S bound in sulphate esters) will be investigated within this project. Transformation fluxes among individual sulphur fractions in soil and relation of S fractions to plant uptake of sulphur, soil humuduty, soil temperature, soil biological activities, plant developing periods will be defined using statistical methods. The project goal was to determine an appropriate method to designate the mobilisable sulphur potential from the inorganic and organic soil S-pool. The project developed in keeping with the activities planned throughout the entire period. All the activities have been completed in keeping with the plan and methodology indicated. (en)
