Description	The proposed project deals with the gene resources protection of native species of oak and lime trees, it covers both the research of variability and breeding activities in those species. The project will contribute to the solution of a problem of the protection of valuable and threatened populations. List of the most valuable populations of both pedunculate and sessile oak will be executed based on the measurements and evaluations of existing provenance trials, planted in 1984. Those top populations will be listed into the cathegory of proved sources. Furthermore, a planting stock will be raised as a support for establishing new provenance trials with lime and oak species. These trials will afterwards serve as a source of information about the genetically conditional variance in said species within the frame of the Czech Republic. Another part of the project aims at the creation of synthetic populations for both pedunculate and sessile oak on the basis of individual selection with a presupposition (en) Bude provedena selekce syntetických populací dubu letního a zimního s minimálně padesáti klony od každého druhu s rychlejším růstem, vynikající tvárností kmene a kvalitou dřeva a s klony odolnými vůči pozdním mrazům. Na základě dosavadních výsledků měření výšek, výčetních tlouštěk, hodnocení tvárnosti kmene, fenologického pozorování v době rašení a posuzování kvality a technických vlastností dřeva na pokusných provenienčních plochách s dubem letním a zimním série založené v roce 1984 bude po matematicko-statistickém zpracování výsledků provedena individuální selekce klonů požadovaných vlastností. Z těchto jedinců bude odebrán reprodukční materiál, který bude reprodukován vegetativními metodami (řízkováním) a uložen v matečnici Výzkumné stanice Uherské Hradiště. Z tohoto materiálu budou pak vypěstovány syntetické klonové populace, které budou k dispozici k dalšímu testování na ověřovací ploše a k namnožení pro poloprovozní využití i pro potřeby lesnické praxe.
