| Description
| - From the beginning of the 90s, a structural change have been taken place in the agriculture of the Czech Republic. This change however, has resulted in a remarkable negative impact on the then fair epidemiological situation of potential bacterial infections in the animal population. Before this reform, specialisation of agricultural production, especially in the sphere of cattle and swine production was compulsory. The importation of genetically superior animals, but harbouring tuberculosis, paratuberculosis, salmonelosis, respiratory organ infections and others has perpetuated the dissemination of these diseases in the Republic. Therefore, the objective of this project is to attain a complex study on the mechanisms and circumstances by which these important infectious diseases (tuberculosis, salmonelosis, swine respiratory infectons) spread by the use of molecular biology. - Od počátku 90. let se došlo v České republice ke strukturálním změnám v zemědělství. Tím se však výrazně změnila i předešlá relativně příznivá epizootologická situace většiny bakteriálních infekcí zvířat. V živočišné výrobě bylo nutné specializovat zejména chovy skotu a prasat. Importy geneticky cenných zvířat ze zahraničí se zavlekly do České republiky také infikovaná zvířata tuberkulózou, paratuberkulózou, respiračními infekcemi, salmonelózou a dalšími.Cílem projektu proto bude komplexně sledovat v České republice zákonitosti šíření významných původců bakteriálních infekcí (tuberkulóza, salmonelóza, respirační infekce prasat) metodami molekulární biologie. Získané poznatky významně přispějí nejen ke studi šíření těchto významných bakteriálních onemocnění zvířat, ale budou také sloužit k omezení jejich šíření.
