| Description
| - The main aim of this proposed research project consists in set up and optimization of compact and reliable rapid detection and identification system for causative agents of gastroenteritis. Our system will be based on combination of Real time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) which will be suitable with respect to its detection limits, difficulty and material requirements for use within Czech army. - Hlavním cílem tohoto výzkumného projektu je zavedení a optimalizace uceleného rychlého a spolehlivého detekčního a identifikačního systému námi vybraných patogenů virových gastroenteritid. Systém bude založený na metodách Real time reverzně transkripční polymerázové řetězové reakce (RT-PCR), který by svojí hranicí detekce, obtížností a přístrojovými nároky vyhovoval podmínkám pro zavedení v AČR.

| - There was established method for detection of chosen pathogens of viral gastroenteritis. PCR panel for detection of rotaviruses, adenoviruses, noroviruses, astroviruses, sapoviruses and parechoviruses was successfully tested with reference viral strains and also with more than 200 clinical samples. There was also developed method for viral nucleic acids isolation and preparation. (en)
- Hlavním výsledkem je zavedená metodika pro detekci vybraných původců virových gastroenteritid. Panel pro PCR detekci rotavirů, adenovirů, norovirů, astrovirů, sapovirů a parechovirů byl úspěšně otestován s dostupnými referenčními kmeny, tak i na závěr s více jak 200 klinickými materiály. Byla také vypracována metodika izolace a přípravy virových nukleových kyselin ze vzorků. (cs)
