Description
  • A numerical model for the simulation of fracture of columns loaded by external force with small excentricity will be developed. The model is based on fracture constitutive law for concrete - rotating cracks with the combination of scalar damage and beam representation of reinforcement. The model will be implemented into the object oriented in-house finite element code OOFEM. A parallelization of explicit algorithms for analysis of nonlinear problems (materials with strain softening) will be elaborated. The parallelization strategy will be based on domain decomposition concept using a note-cut or element-cut approach. Both approaches will be extended to allow for nonlocal constitutive models. The developed strategy will be implemented into the object oriented in-house finite element code OOFEM. (en)
