Description
  • The aim of the proposed project is detailed characterization of size-resolved PM in the indoor environment of the National library in Prague, with respect to possible effects on deposited books and manus, estimation of sources of PM with respect to typical activities indoors and estimation of deposition of PM on books and manus. The estimation of deposition of particulate matter from the indoor environment on books and characterization of these particles will be done using standard procedure used in the Laboratory of Aerosol Chemistry and Physics, ICPF ASCR. It includes determination of particle number concentration and size distribution of PM indoors in dependence on usual activities (visitors, working hours, cleaning etc.) and sampling of size resolved PM for subsequent analyses. The particle number measurements will be performed using Aerodynamic Particle Sizer (APS) and Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) working in the size range 0,003 – 20 &#956m.
