Description
| - Dissecting the complex wheat genome to smaller parts will simplify its sequencing, analysis, and positional gene cloning. We propose to construct 1D, 4D, and 6D-specific BAC DNA library suitable for construction of physical maps. The results and materials that will be obtianed will facilitate the analysis of evolution of the hexaploid wheat genome. The new genomic resources will facilitate cloning of wheat genes underlining resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, as well as yield and quality. The BAC libraries and physical maps will provide a basis for wheat genome sequencing. (en)
- Budou připraveny fyzické mapy chromozómů 1D, 4D a 6D hexaploidní pšenice. Tyto mapy umožní efektivní sekvenování polyploidního genomu této plodiny a izolaci agronomicky významných genů.

| - V rámci akce COST FA0604 a ve spolupráci s laboratořemi Prof. B.S Gilla (KSU, Mahattan) a Prof. J. Dvořáka (UC, Davis) byly připraveny BAC knihovny z chromozómů 1D, 4D a 6D pšenice. Knihovny byly použity pro vytvoření minimální sestavy BAC klonů reprezentujících genomy těchto tří chromozómů. BAC kontigy byly integrovány s fyzickou mapou Aegilops tauschii a ukotveny na genetickou mapu. (cs)
- Within the framework of COST action FA0604 and in collaboration with laboratories of Prof. B.S. Gill (KSU, Manhattan) and Prof J. Dvořák (UC, Davis) BAC libraries were prepared from wheat chromosomes 1D, 4D and 6D. The libraries were used to assemble minimum tiling path representing the chromosomes. BAC contigs were integrated with physical map of Aegilops tauschii and anchored to genetic map. (en)
