Description
  • Project is focused on study of physico-chemical interactions in hyaluronan-surfactant and hyaluronan-amino acid systems. Interactions in these systems should result in formation of self-assembling structures that can be used in the targeted delivery of hydrophobic active substances, drugs, in particular. Hydrophilic, highly hydrated hyaluronan chain which has a specific biological function, which is recognized and bound by cells through specific receptors plays the role of transporting and targeting agent. Surfactants or amino acids should provide non-polar domains solubilizing the hydrophobic substance. In particular, biocompatible surfactants like polar lipids or acylglycosides will be investigated. Simple amino acids (6-amino-hexanoic or lysine) will be used to obtain basic information on hyaluronan-amino acid interactions whereas alkylated (acylated) amino acids and betaine surfactants will be used in the development of the carrier systems.   • Project investigated interactions between hyaluronan and surfactants (classical and amino acid). At physiological conditions, colloidal up to nanosized aggregates are formed capable to solubilize nonpolar substances. Aggregates resist to the effects of changing pH or temperature. Selected systems can be used in medical or cosmetic preparations. Project outputs include also two scientific papers. (en)
  • V projektu byly prozkoumány interakce mezi hyaluronanem a tenzidy, klasického a aminokyselinového typu. Za fyziologických podmínek vznikají agregáty koloidních až nanorozměrů, schopné solubilizovat nepolární látky. Agregáty jsou odolné vůči působení změn pH nebo teploty. Vybrané systémy mohou nalézt uplatnění v léčebných nebo kosmetických přípravcích. Výstupem projektu jsou i dva vědecké články. (cs)
