Description	Authors will study relations between ADMA level (asymmetrical dimethylarginine) and classical risk factors of arteriosclerosis, homocysteine and vessel characteristic. It is combined retrospective and prospective study with two years observation. We will also assess global cardiovascular risk according to the Framingham equation in relation to ADMA level and other factors. We will compare ADMA level in patients observed during MONICA study with patients aged over 70 years with current cardiovascular disease and with people of same age without current cardiovascular disease. Large artery properties are assessed with pulse wawe velocity and pulse wawe form analysis. Relation between these parameters and ADMA level has not been studied yet. (en) Autoři hodlají posoudit vztah asymetrického dimetylargininu (ADMA) ke klasickým rizikovým faktorům aterosklerózy, homocysteinu a vlastnostem cév. Jedná se o kombinovanou retrospektivní a prospektivní studii s dvouletým sledováním. Výsledkem bude posouzení mechanismu patologického působení rizikových faktorů na cévní endotel ve smyslu inhibice NO-syntézy pomocí asymetrického dimethylargininu, posouzení KV rizika ve vztahu k jeho hodnotě. Srovnání hladiny ADMA u pacientů sledovaných v rámci studie MONICA a nemocných starších 70 let s přítomným kardiovaskulárním onemocněním a u osob stejného věku bez přítomného KV onemocnění. Vlastnosti cév budou vyhodnoceny posouzením rychlosti šíření pulzové vlny a odrazu tlakových vln. Vztah těchto parametrů k hladině ADMA nebyl dosud ve studii populačního charakteru sledován.
