Description
  • In operative treatment of acetabular fractures the geometry of the acetabulum is tried to be anatomically restored. It has been shown that the incidence of post-traumatic osteoartritis after acetabular reconstruction is greatly increased in patient with imperfect reconstruction of acetabular surface (i.e. poor anatomic reduction) leading to postoperative in-congruency of acetabular surface. In our theoretical model (within the proposed project) the post-operative incongruent acetabular surface will be described by relative displacement of acetabular surface and fractured acetabular fragment in the direction of the normal to the acetabular surface (step level). Based on the results of our previous studies, indicating that increased contact stress in the hip joint may accelerate the development of coxarthrosis, in the proposed project the stress distribution will be estimated during one walking cycle for different values of post-operative step levels at the acetab (en)
  • Při operaci acetabulárních fraktur je prvotním cílem zachování anatomie kloubní jamky. Klinické studie ukazují, že incidence postraumatické artrózy je vyšší u pacientů s nekongruentní redukcí acetabulárního povrchu. Cílem projektu je vyvinout a ověřit matematický model, který by umožnil stanovení zátěže acetabula při posunutí kostního úlomku. Zátěž bude určena v průbehu chůze pro různé typy acebulární fraktury.
