Description
| - The project deals with systems on the boundary of inorganic physical chemistry, organic chemistry and computational biophysics. It combines techniques used for modelling of mineral surfaces and surfaces of biological structures, namely biomembranes and large macromolecules and studies interactions of ions, small biomolecules and functional parts of larger biomolecules with these surfaces. The choice of systems stems from their applications, availability of experimental data and previous results: 1) Interactions of ions and humic acids with mineral surfaces, 2) Interactions of ions, humic acids, proteins and other organic ligands with lipids and glycolipids, 3) Interaction of aminoacids and their derivates (substituted 5-hydroxytryptophans) with active sites of enzyme. - Bude vytvořen model fotosyntetické membrány a studovány interakce iontů, organických molekul a biomolekul s povrchy lipidů, minerálními povrchy a aktivními místy enzymů.

| - Byly modelovány povrchy křemene a rutilu v nábojových variantách odpovídajících různým hodnotám pH. Byl vytvořen model thylakoidní membrány včetně varianty obsahující protein fotosystému II. Byly studovány interakce těchto povrchů s vodou, ionty, malými organickými látkami i modelovými huminovými a fulvonovými kyselinami. Byly řešeny otázky vývoje radiofarmak pro pozitronovou emisní tomografii. (cs)
- We modeled surfaces of quartz and rutile in charged variants corresponding to different values of pH. A model of thylakoid membrane including variant containing protein of photosystem II has been devised. Interactions of these surfaces with water, ions, small organic substances as well as model fulvic and humic acids were studied. The development of radiopharmaceuticals for PET was pursued. (en)
