Description
  • The proposed project is based on development and tests of algoritmes for detailed scientific analyses of astronomical archival plates located in the US repository for astronomical plates at Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute, North Carolina. It has three parts: (1) design, development and tests of novel algorithms to access and to evaluate the digitised plates by powerful computers, (2) methods for scientific analyses of optical counterparts of gamma-ray sources with some additional categories of objects (with emphasis on European satellite INTEGRAL and US Satellites Swift and GLAST)including image processing methods, image data compression and archiving and (3) algorithmes for scientific analyses of low-dispersion spectral plates as simulations for the satellite project ESA Gaia.   • Proběhla detailní analýza archivů astronomických fotodesek v USA. Byla navržena a otestována efektivní metoda transportního digitalizačního zařízení. Metoda je doplněna automatickým zpracováním skenů a ošetřením distorze objektivu. Metadata jsou řešena za standardního protokolu. (cs)
  • The US astronomical plate archives were analyzed in detail. A new effective using transportable device, method for plate scanning was proposed and tested. Automated data analyses were developed and tested including lens distorsion treatment. A standard protocol is used for plate metadata. (en)
