Description	The purpose of the Center is to investigate the basic structure of matter and to search for fundamental laws of microworld, in collaboration with several leading international research institutes for particle physics (CERN, DESY, FNAL).Its aim is to guarantee the high level common infrastructure neccessary for preparation and operation of the experiments in high energy physics, the data processing and its theoretical analysis, and to strenghthen the existing working groups. (en) Základním posláním centra je ve spolupracích v mezinárodních střediscích fyziky částic zkoumat základní strukturu hmoty a hledat zákonitosti mikrosvěta. Centrum vychází z existujícího Společného pracoviště subnukleární fyziky MFF UK a FzÚ AVČRa má za cíl zajistit kvalitní společnou infrastrukturu, nutnou pro přípravu a provoz experimentů, zpracování dat a jejich teoretickou analýzu a umožnit posílení stávajících pracovních týmů
