Description
| - The invasive plants like Reynoutria species (Reynoutria japonica, R. sachalinensis, R. x bohemica) and Impatiens species (Impatiens glandulifera, I. parviflora) which uncontrollably spread not only in Europe. These plants create compact growth along waterways and forest ecosystems. They are now inconvenient weed in the above mentioned ecosystem. However, these plants contain many secondary metabolites which have significant biologically activite properties e.g. stilbens and anthraquinones in Reynoutria species, napthoquinones in Impatiens species. Anthraquinones and napthoquinones revealed allelochemical, fungicidal, insecticidal activity, some of them also estrogenic activity. The growths of these invasive plants are wiped out both mechanically and chemically. The plant bodies decayed very slowly and poorly. Therefore the plant materials of invasive plants should serve as cheap material for isolation of the biologically active substances, like quinones and their derivatives. (en)
- Vypracovat metodiky pro získání extraktů obohacených chinony (první rok řešení) z invazních rostlin, zejména netýkavek a křídlatek. Izolace chinonů a jejich derivátů z rostlinných extraktů (druhý rok řešení). Testy toxicity vybraných frakcí, zaměřené hlavně na allelopatické vlastnosti (třetí rok řešení).
