Description
  • The aim of the project is to provide experimental data from the OECD-NEA Sandia Fuel Project (SFP) and to allow active participation of NRI Řež experts in the SFP experimental program. Another aim is to validate MELCOR simulation code on the experimental data from the SFP in NRI Řež. MELCOR validation analyzes prepared in NRI Řež will be compared with similar work of other OECD-NEA SFP project participants and reviewed by participating experts. These validation analyzes will be further used in formal standardization process of the MELCOR code. Experimental data from the OECD-NEA SFP project will be used in preparation of safety analyzes of accidents in spent fuel pools of existing or projected nuclear power plants. These safety analyzes will be used to prove safety of spent fuel storage in tough spent fuel racks currently used to store spent fuel assemblies in spent fuel pools. (en)

  • V rámci dílčího úkolu V004 byl sestaven vstupní model programu MELCOR ro simulaci fáze II experimentů OECD-SFP (experimenty s pěti soubory PWR). Byly realizovány simulace experimentu se samovznícením. V rámci dílčího úkolu V001 byl zpracován index všech dokumentů projektu OECD/SFP. V rámci dílčího úkolu V005 byla zpracována závěrečná shrnující zpráva projektu. (cs)
  • Experimental data and experimental reports distributed during 2012 were reviewed and added to the database. Task V004: The MELCOR input model for the phase II OECD-SFP experiments was developed. Numerical simulations of the phase II ignition test were performed. Simulations results were compared with experimental data. Task V005: The final overview report was prepared. (en)
