Description	The goal of this project is to measure the ultra-high energy cosmic rays. A new knowledge will be gathered about their intensity and energy spectrum, about the isotropy and possible sources and about chemical composition. 7 PhD theses will be defended. The development of the technology of light mirror production will continue. (en) Cílem projektu je měřit kosmické záření s extrémní energií. Budou získány nové poznatky o intenzitě a spektru záření, o jeho izotropii, jeho zdrojích a o jeho složení. Bude obhájeno 7 dizertací. Bude pokračovat vývoj technologie výroby lehkých zrcadel.

Unikátní observatoř studuje kosmické záření nejvyšších energií. I zásluhou českých fyziků a studentů byla publikována řada článků o anizotropii kosmického záření, energetickém spektru a složení, jakož i technické práce související s fluorescenčním detektorem observatoře. (cs) Czech participation in the Pierre Auger Observatory in period 2008-2012 contributed significantly to production and installation of additional telescopes. The observatory detects cosmic rays of the highest energy with unprecedented statistics.
