Description	The aim of the project is to analyze spoken discourse. Some types of discourse, in comparison with informal conversation, are characterized by a more or less fixed structure - e.g. the doctor - patient or teacher - learner interaction. The project is based on an older assumption that the interaction between the teacher and the learner has a three step structure known as IRF (initiation - response - feedback or follow up). The aim of the survey is to find out whether this interactional structure is still commonly used and if it is typical of foreign language classroom as well. The applicant will study the structure of interaction on the basis of transcripts of authentic English lessons taught by both native and non-native speaker teachers. One of the aims will be to compare the structure of discourse in classes taught by native and non-native speaker teachers. The main aim is to study teacher language and find out how it influences the student responses, their thinking and learning. (en) Cílem projektu je analýza mluveného diskurzu. Některé typy diskurzu mají na rozdíl od neformální konverzace pevnou strukturu - např. komunikace mezi lékařem a pacientem či učitelem a žákem. Projekt vychází ze staršího předpokladu, že interakce mezi učitelem a žákem má třístupňovou strukturu, označovanou jako IRF (initiation - response - feedback nebo follow up). Cílem výzkumu bude zjistit, zda je tato struktura stále běžná a jestli se vyskytuje v cizojazyčné výuce. Navrhovatelka bude zkoumat strukturu interakce učitele a žáka na základě přepisů autentických hodin anglického jazyka odučených jak rodilými, tak nerodilými mluvčími. Součástí projektu je analýza shod a rozdílů v diskurzu tříd, které vyučují rodilí a nerodilí mluvčí. Výzkum se soustředí na jazyk učitele - tedy na různé typy iniciace a zpětné vazby - a bude zjišťovat, jak jazyk učitele ovlivňuje odpovědi žáka, jeho myšlení a následně jeho učení.
